wait...this is a wedding???

I have a dream too, but it's about singing and dancing and making people happy. It's the kind of dream that gets better the more people you share it with. And I found a whole group of friends who have the same dream, and that makes us sort of like a family.

I have the best girlfriends that any girl could ask for. In the world. BY FAR. Only the Lord could have orchestrated our paths crossing and create this bond that is thicker than blood. We have gone through the highs, the lows, and the random's. We live in the same home or on the other side of the globe.

And when we are all together, I swear the world stops turning and those moments are frozen in time.

I walk away from time spent with them overwhelmed with joy, love, happiness, and encouragement. I'm a better person because of these ladies.

For the last few years we have met up at least once somewhere in the country to surprise friends for their 30th birthdays. This year 3 of us are turning the big 3-0, a couple of us are either moving back into the country or moving out of the country, babies are being born, and engagements are happening. So we decided to not do surprise 30th extravaganza's and just meet up in Sheena's hometown in Wisconsin, as most of us have never been, for some chill times in the back woods.

A few weeks before our planned Wisconsin Weekend, we get this text:

The text-screams streamed in. The tears were rolling. The excitement exploded. A wedding was amongst us!!

A couple weeks after that Sheena emailed us stating that there will be a wedding shower, engagement party, and a "style shoot" on that Saturday we're out there. Another email was sent of links to dresses for us to coordinate our colors around for this "style shoot." How fun, right!!

Wisconsin Weekend comes around, we arrive with our color coordinated dresses, smiles on our faces, and joy in our hearts to celebrate Sheena's engagement. Saturday morning we head to the shower at her future in-law's home. We eat A LOT, we talk, we giggle, we share stories, we give advice, she opens lingerie, and we drink sangria. Afterward, Sheena says she has a little game of who-can-unroll-this-ball-of-yarn-the-fastest and the winner get's a bottle of wine. Little did we know that the winner would see this first:

"I'm getting married...today!"

The emotions erupted. We had a wedding TODAY!

I'll let the photographer's tell what happened the rest of the day as the pictures are absolutely amazing and say way more than what words could. All I can say is that the whole wedding was completely and totally Sheena. She is the only one of us that could have pulled this off and have it turn out to be the most amazing wedding I have ever been to.

Sheena, you were a stunning bride! You radiate with beauty and passion. The love you and Nate share was evident in every detail of your wedding. I am so honored to have been able to share this intimate and extremely special moment in your life. Your beauty, sincerity, love, and kindness is inspiring and will shine in your marriage. Love you so much, Mrs. S!
